Letter Home
Dear Family,
I'm displeased to inform you I have been, captured and sent to a Japanese concentration camp. We have been brutally beaten starved and some of us even murdered. There are no toilets, so there is piss, and feces everywhere. Most of our inmates are dreadfully ill, and if your not than you corroded in Gangrene. Even though we are sicker than dogs we are forced and beaten to work.
Some of us have lost arms, legs, even eyes. Yet they have no natural affection to even have a sorry for the limp ones. You cant even look at the guards, if you do your either shot on the spot, of beaten and whipped almost to the point of death. And if that don't kill you the bugs and diseases will. Lots of the men here are going insane, even killing one another.
Others have tried to escape the camp, but the jungle that surrounds the camp is larger than the camp itself. It would make more sense to run and jump off a cliff, than to escape into the jungle where you will probably starve and die. My time is short, I must leave, please take this letter, remember it, cherish it, for it may be my last.
Sincerely: Jason Trype
